ugandan universities should change their ict curriculum

i was really disappointed by the university students doing IT and computer science. i recently got a chance to step in makerere and i saw a number of students seated with some killer laptops and i wondered wat they were using them for coz am always trying to find new killer websites by ugandans but i always find nothing.

But i think that the biggest problem is that the universities create job seekers instead of job creators coz i find it really funny how an ICT student can be ready to take on a job where they are getting paid less than ugshs200.000 yet they can startup a simple website and earn the same amout with less stress.

recently i've been trying to find information about young internet millionaires and i was really surprised how young people with less qualifications could start really successful internet companies e.g. the facebook founder and some young guy who founded bizchair.com. After that i wondered wat was really wrong with ict in uganda.

My advice is that the ugandan ict ministry should start financing young innovative and creative guys coz many of them may be having nice ideas but lacking finances to implement them. e.g. i myself am currently tryin to raise money to put up one of my sites.

Note: am not a very good writer. just learning
